Happy Birthday Van Morrison: ‘Bring It On Home To Me’ Live Video

Legendary singer-songwriter Van Morrison was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on this date in 1945. Van “The Man” has been a prolific artist throughout his storied career and at age 72 is still going strong. Morrison will soon release his 37th studio album and will support the LP with a string of U.S. and U.K. tour dates.

Roll With The Punches is due on September 22 via Caroline Records. Van’s forthcoming studio album finds Morrison recording a set of new self-written songs as well as R&B classics by the likes of Bo Diddley, Mose Allison, Lightnin’ Hopkins and others. Morrison produced the LP and paired up with a team of collaborators that included Chris Farlowe, Georgie Fame, Jeff Beck, Paul Jones and Jason Rebello.

One of the tracks featured on the album is a cover of Sam Cooke’s “Bring It On Home To Me.” Van Morrison first started covering Cooke’s 1962 hit in 1971. His most recent rendition of “Bring It On Home To Me” took place at Porchester Hall in London on July 11. Today, Morrison has shared video of the Porchester Hall performance:
