Happy Birthday Peter Gabriel | Live In Germany 1978
By Scott Bernstein Feb 13, 2015 • 10:10 am PST

In honor of Peter’s birthday we wanted to share an outstanding video from one of his first tours as a solo artist. Gabriel has always surrounded himself with exceptional musicians and the band he brought to Germany on September 15, 1978 shows as much. For this show, Peter is joined by Tony Levin, Jerry Marotta, Larry Fast, Timmy Capello and Sid McGinnis. Peter mixes songs from his first three solo albums with a riveting take on the Genesis classic “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway” during the powerful hour of music that was broadcast on German TV’s Rockpalast. Take a peek:
Tracklist: On The Air, Moribund The Burgermeister, Perspective, Here Comes The Flood, White Shadow, Waiting For The Big One, Humdrum, I Don’t Remember, Solsbury Hill, Modern Love, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
