Last night HAIM kicked off their tour with a performance at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California. The group offered a set featuring two new originals and a cover to the late rock legend Prince.
The trio of sisters – Alana Haim, Danielle Haim and Este Haim – supported by additional touring members, began the show with the single “If I Could Change Your Mind” from their 2013 debut album Days Are Gone. The set also featured tracks from the album for which a follow-up is expected soon such as “Don’t Save Me,” “Forever,” “Running If You Call My Name,” “The Wire” and “Falling.”
Three songs into the set Haim launched into a cover of “I Would Die 4 U” by Prince. A couple of songs after the tribute to The Purple One, the band performed the live debut of a new original reportedly called “Give Me Just A Little Of Your Love.” Then, a couple of songs after the first debut came the initial live offering of the new original supposedly titled “Nothing’s Wrong.”
Audience-shot footage of “I Would Die 4 U” as well as the two new originals and more can be viewed below. Haim appears tonight at the Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff, Arizona.
