Guster Announces Acoustic Improv Tour 2020

Guster announced a 2020 acoustic tour that will include a string section and improv comedy. The tour gets underway with a two-night run at the Hollywood Forever Masonic Lodge in Los Angeles February 27 and 28 and wraps up at Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, New York on April 4.

The band released a statement explaining what to expect during the tour:

For the first time in over 7 years we’re putting together intimate evenings of Guster acoustic + strings with improv comedy at some of our favorite seated venues across the country. Expect us to dig deep into the Guster catalogue and discover songs we don’t usually play at our big rock shows. Expect violins and cellos. Maybe some nights we make up an album on stage. There are no rules on the 2020 Guster Acoustic Tour.

Connor Ratliff from the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre will be joining us on the road to run the comedy show and helping us get weird while doing double duty of bringing out special guests at each stop. As is the nature of improv (and special guests), each show will be unique. 2020 is going to be a lot of fun, and we can’t wait to mix up our Guster shows to create something new out of something old with you all.

The intimate tour will also include stops in San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Aspen, Boulder, Omaha, Nashville, St. Louis, Cincinnati, the Pittsburgh area and the band’s native Massachusetts among others. Head here for ticket info.
