Guitarmageddon Announces 10th Anniversary Show

The concept of Guitarmageddon was conceived over 10 years ago in the downstairs backstage room at Slim’s in San Francisco. It spawned from a conversation between Tea Leaf Green’s Josh Clark and local Terrapin All-Star Sean Leahy. The project will celebrate its 10th anniversary at Terrapin Crossroads on December 17.

The initial idea behind Guitarmageddon was to do a tribute show to Jimi Hendrix having multiple guitars on stage at one time. Clark and Leahy quickly recruited ALO’s Dan Lebowitz and Four Year Benders’ Ryan Smith, put together a setlist and performed their first show at San Francisco’s Elbo Room. Now, over 10 years later, the group has performed dozens of themed shows using a countless number of the country’s top touring guitar players. The group has really earned its reputation at High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, California where it has performed continuously for the last 10 years.

High Sierra Music will bring its Guitarmageddon vibe to the playful, fun atmosphere of Terrapin Crossroads for a 10-year anniversary retrospective on all themes past. Look for many special and surprise guests on this one-of-a-kind night at the San Rafael venue’s Grate Room. Confirmed guests include Ross James, Grahame Lesh, Craig MacArthur, Dave Zirbel, Reed Mathis, Alex Jordan, Mark Karan, Jeff Miller, Fred Torphy, Ezra Lipp, Ben Andrews, Jeremy Korpus and Eric DiBerardino with many others expected to perform.
