Colorado jamgrass act Leftover Salmon opened a three-night home state stand at the iconic Stanley Hotel in Estes Park Friday night. The run of shows got off with a bang via an evening that featured special guests joining the band, a new cover song debut and the playing of a Leftover Salmon album in its entirety.
Saxophonist Jeff Coffin and keyboardist Eric Deutsch joined Leftover Salmon throughout the show Friday, which saw the band’s debut cover performance of Frank Zappa’s “Camarillo Brillo” within the first set. For the second set, Leftover Salmon and their guests offered a re-creation of the 1997 LoS studio album Euphoria in its entirety.
