Allman Brothers Band co-founding member Gregg Allman is back after health issues kept him off the road since the middle of the summer. Gregg and his band are about to begin a 10-show residency at City Winery in New York City that spans November 6 – 18. He has added a New Year’s Run and series of January dates to his touring itinerary.

The legendary performer will end 2016 and ring in 2017 on December 30 and 31 at Lucas Theatre For The Arts in Savannah, Georgia. Allman then takes a few nights off before a pair of shows at Athens’ Georgia Theatre January 3 – 4. From there, the Gregg Allman Band will play Biloxi, Mississippi on January 6, Lake Charles, Louisiana on January 7, two nights at Iron City in Birmingham on January 10 and 11, Horseshoe Tunica Hotel & Casino in Robinsonville, Mississippi on January 13 and Chattanooga’s Tivoli on January 14. Gregg Allman concludes the run with four shows in Macon, Georgia – the city that helped birth the Allman Brothers Band. Allman and his group hold court at The Grand Opera House on January 17 and 18 as well as the 20th and 21st.

This past Saturday Gregg Allman reunited with his self-titled band for the group’s first performance since July. The set was the headlining performance of the Atlanta stop for Gregg’s Laid Back Festival at Lakewood Amphitheater, which also featured sets from ZZ Top, Blackberry Smoke, Michelle Malone, Mother’s Finest, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Gabriel Kelley and Stonerider. Allman’s set included takes on “Melissa,” “Hot’lanta,” “Midnight Rider” and more such as a rendition of “One Way Out” with special guest Billy Gibbons.
