Greensky Bluegrass Covers Steve Goodman & Welcomes Elephant Revival In Austin
By Andy Kahn Oct 23, 2016 • 10:00 am PDT

Greensky Bluegrass held the second show of a two-night stand at Historic Scoot Inn in Austin, Texas last night. The evening featured an opening set by Elephant Revival whose members later joined GSBG following a cover of a song honoring the Chicago Cubs.
After the Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to clinch their first National League pennant since 1945, Greensky Bluegrass lit into a brief rendition of Steve Goodman’s “Go Cubs Go.” Following the celebratory cover GSBG welcomed Elephant Revival’s Bonnie Paine on washboard and Bridget Law on fiddle to sit-in on John Hartford’s “Steam Powered Aereo Plane” and Bill Monroe’s “I’m Working On A Building.”
Paine and Law also joined Greensky on a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Atlantic City” during the Friday night concert. Watch the pair of collaborations in the videos below:
