Green Day delivered a surprise show in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday at the House of Blues Anaheim. The long-running punk rockers performed every track on their 2024 album, Saviors, including a number of debuts.
Green Day took to social media on Monday afternoon to announce the House of Blues Anaheim concert. The show at the roughly 3,000 capacity venue sold out quickly after going on sale.
The L.A. area concert continues a series of intimate shows the band has played in 2024 around Saviors. In January, Green Day delivered a SiriusXM Small Stage Series show at Irving Plaza in Manhattan ahead of an in-store performance at the Rough Trade NYC record store in Brooklyn.

The HOB Anaheim concert got underway with the title track from Green Day’s 2004 album, American Idiot. Watch a clip below:
The band — core trio guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool along with touring members guitarist Kevin Preston, guitarist Jason White and multi-instrumentalist Jason Freese — then got into the Saviors material.
Green Day began with the live debut of the album’s title and 14th track, “Saviors.” The band then delivered the album in sequential order (save for “Saviors”) beginning with “The American Dream Is Killing Me.”
Along with “Saviors,” the band debuted tracks seven through 15: “Goodnight Adeline,” “Coma City” “Corvette Summer,” “Suzie Chapstick” “Strange Days Are Here to Stay,” “Living in the ’20s,” “Father to a Son” and closer “Fancy Sauce.”

Next, the punk rockers offered six tracks off their landmark 1994 album Dookie, including “Burnout,” “Pulling Teeth,” “She” and more. The band then turned to American Idiot with an additional six tracks off the 2004 LP including bustouts of “Give Me Novacaine” (first time since 2017), “She’s A Rebel” and “Extraordinary Girl,” the latter two not performed by the full band since 2005, as per SetlistFM.
After closing the set with American Idiot’s “Whatsername,” the encore got underway with Dookie’s “All By Myself.” Green Day capped the concert with “Minority” off their 2000 album Warning.
Green Day will embark on their 2024 North American stadium tour in May supporting Saviors and celebrating the 30th and 20th anniversaries of Dookie and American Idiot respectively. Check out their itinerary with ticket info below.
