Grateful Dead Begins ’30 Days Of Dead’ 2016 Installment With ‘Dark Star’ > ‘Brokedown Palace’

As reported this November the Grateful Dead are continuing a long-standing tradition of sharing 30 tracks from the band’s vault as part of their annual 30 Days Of Dead promotion. The first track was posted this morning and includes a transcendent “Dark Star” > “Brokedown Palace” sequence.
Expect a new, free track to be posted each and every day in November. Each track was selected by Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux. The track will be shared without a date and venue so fans can guess when and where the version took place. Here’s the “Dark Star” > “Brokedown Palace” which is the first track of 30 Days Of Dead 2016:
