Guitarist Ryan Clackner Joins Gov’t Mule For Humble Pie & Marshall Tucker Band Covers
The collab consisted of “30 Days In The Hole” and “Can’t You See.”

Gov't Mule's‘s Back In The Saddle Tour rolled into Maryville, Tennessee south of Knoxville on Friday. The show at The Shed Smokehouse & Juke Joint saw the band led by Warren Haynes welcoming guitarist Ryan Clackner.
The collaboration began with a cover of Humble Pie‘s “30 Days In The Hole.” The second set closer with Knoxville-based guitarist Ryan Clackner also contained elements of the Humble Pie-covered “I Don’t Need No Doctor” and Mountain‘s “Mississippi Queen.”
Clackner reprised his guest role for Gov’t Mule’s encore in Maryville, a take on the The Marshall Tucker Band‘s “Can’t You See.” Mule broke out the MTB classic for the first time in 105 shows.
Gov’t Mule kicked off the concert with “Bad Little Doggie,” off their 2000 album Life Before Insanity. The first set also saw the band performing “Peace I Need,” from the their most recent studio album, Peace… Like A River, alongside the classic “Banks Of The Deep End.” Covers from Tower of Power (“What Is Hip?”) and Van Morrison (“I’ve Been Working”) concluded the first frame.
Kicking off with Warren Haynes’ Allman Brothers] classic “Soulshine,” the second set also saw the band including the recently unshelved cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Effigy” ahead of the Clackner sit-in.
