One day after revealing details and sharing music from their forthcoming studio album, Gov’t Mule has announced a batch of tour dates. The new dates will take place in August and will find the band teaming with Galactic and Blackberry Smoke at select shows.
Gov’t Mule will begin August with a series of concerts featuring Galactic as the opener. The quartet and the New Orleans funk band will kick off the run at Jessye Norman Amphitheater in Augusta, Georgia on August 1. From there, the groups will play Raleigh, Charleston, Charlotte, Atlanta, Lewiston and Portland, Maine ahead of this year’s Peach Music Festival. The Galactic/Mule run continues after the festival with stops planned for Boston, Pittsburgh, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Des Moines and Papillion, Nebraska.
As previously announced, Warren Haynes & Co. will co-headline Red Rocks with Yonder Mountain String Band on August 19 featuring support from The Marcus King Band. Gov’t Mule then ends the month by bringing Blackberry Smoke on the road to open two shows before Lockn’ and two shows after the Arrington, Virginia festival. Mule and Blackberry Smoke will play the Ohio cities of Columbus and Cincinnati ahead of Lockn’ and then conclude August with stops in Nashville and Louisville.
Gov’t Mule will release Revolution Come… Revolution Go on June 9. A pre-sale for the dates announced today will take place on April 19 ahead of the public on-sales April 21.
