Gordon Stone Anthology & Livestream Tribute Coming

The life and music of Gordon Stone, the acclaimed multi-instrumentalist who died earlier this month, will be honored with The “Touch & Go” Gordon Stone Memorial Service on FANS.com this Thursday, July 30 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Additionally, The Music Of Gordon Stone: A Retrospective Anthology will be released on Bandcamp tomorrow via Astrology Days Records. Proceeds from both the livestreamed service and anthology will benefit Backline, the music industry’s mental health and wellness resource.

Tomorrow’s Touch & Go livestream will feature remembrances of Stone and performances from a number of Gordon’s musical friends and family including Phish bassist Mike Gordon, moe. guitarist Al Schnier, Twiddle, Scott Murawski, Russ LawtonTony Trischka, Larry Keel, Pappy Biondo, Todd Stoops and more.

The Music Of Gordon Stone: A Retrospective Anthology was originally due out on July 10, the day Stone passed away. Astrology Days Records, a label formed by Gordon’s protégé, Pappy Biondo and , will issue the 21-track collection. Vinyl pressings will be available in addition to digital downloads.
