Goose shared video of “Thatch” from their 2023 European Tour. The performance took place at Amsterdam’s storied Melkweg on November 7.
Goose premiered “Thatch” on November 13, 2022 in Glen Falls, New York during their fall tour with Trey Anastasio Band. The Melkweg “Thatch” marked the 26th performance of the song, as per ElGoose.net. The nearly 18-minute excursion came as the second song in the second set.

Guitarist Rick Mitarotonda led the band through the funky tune full of growling clavinet from keyboardist Peter Anspach. The jam saw rhythm section drummer Ben Atkind, bassist Trevor Weekz and percussionist Jeff Arevalo holding down a crunchy groove that gave way to a bliss-y sequence with Rick showing off his copious chops and Peter taking a tour around key world ahead of the song’s intricate ending.
