Goose will headline and host the inaugural FRED the Festival this summer. The three-day event will take place on the LOCKN’ Farm in Arrington, Virginia August 20 – 22.

In addition to four sets from Goose, the festival will also feature performances from Dawes, Dr. Dog, Cory Wong, Hiss Golden Messenger, Grateful Shred, aGOOSEtic Trio, Vasudo, Sammy Rae & The Friends and ElephantProof. Dawes will play both an original set and a set in tribute to Black Sabbath’s iconic Paranoid album. Grateful Shred will also perform twice over the course of FRED the Festival.

Vasudo are a group that pre-dates Goose featuring the band’s Rick Mitarotonda, Peter Anspach, Trevor Weekz and Jeff Arevalo joined by keyboardist/vocalist Matt Campbell. The last Vasudo performance came in the summer of 2013. ElephantProof features Goose drummer Ben Atkind with guitarist Sean Cronin, bassist Shon Gordon and keyboardist Chris Enright.

Goose promises “plenty of extracurricular activities including yoga, hiking and more” alongside the music. “Last year, we were booked at LOCKN’ and we were so excited to perform on that legendary stage for the first time. We were all pretty disappointed after the festival was cancelled so it’s an honor to be invited back to the farm for our own event,” explained Anspach. “LOCKN’ has hosted a lot of amazing performers over the years, from Tom Petty and Willie Nelson to Dead&Co and Phish. We are super psyched to mix that history with the new fire and energy that Goose brings,” added LOCKN’ promoter Peter Shapiro.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 4 at 10 a.m. ET here. Camping will be available here.
