Goose Performs At Birds Of A Feather 2019

On August 17, Goose performed their second of two headlining sets at the Birds Of A Feather festival in Morning View, Kentucky. The quartet has unveiled pro-shot video of their entire performance.
Goose — comprised of guitarist Rick Mitarotonda, bassist Trevor Bass, drummer Ben Atkind and multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach — went without a pre-planned setlist and turned in a well-jammed eight-song set. The four-piece opened with an “Elizabeth” that took flight for nearly 15 minutes. Atkind then provided the bluegrass beat that served as the base for “Flodown” ahead of a cover of The Band’s “The W.S. Walcott Medicine Show.”
The Norwalk, Connecticut-based group went on to dig in on expansive versions of “Drive” and “Creatures.” Next up was a take on “Shama Lama Ding Dong,” a song from the 1978 movie Animal House performed in the film by the fictional Otis Day & The Knights. Goose then celebrated the birthday of “Rosie” with a quick romp through “Happy Birthday To You.” The four-piece capped the set with prog-funk workout “Jive Lee.”
Read a note from the band about the video release:
Last month we played two nights at an intimate music festival in Kentucky called Birds of a Feather Music Festival. Surrounded by our friends and a loving community, we had some of the most fun we’ve had all summer, performing without setlists for both nights — we hope you enjoy watching our entire 80 minute set from night two, in full multi-cam fashion!!
