God Street Wednesdays | Jon Bevo’s Love Orchestra In July
By Scott Bernstein May 7, 2014 • 6:20 am PDT

Back in the ’90s when God Street Wine wanted to play a venue that was thought to be “too small” for them, the group performed under the moniker Jon Bevo’s Love Orchestra. The “secret name” helped the band return to rooms such as The Nightingale Bar and Wetlands Preserve long after they outgrew them. Some members of GSW resurrected the “JBLO” moniker for a January 2012 show and look to do so again yet-to-be-disclosed location on July 10.
Before an event page for the July 10th performance was posted on God Street’s Facebook page, the band had shared a number of hints that a Jon Bevo’s Love Orchestra show was coming using the page. One of the images posted can be seen above, which seems to relay that guitarists Aaron Maxwell and Lo Faber and bassist Dan Pifer will be joining keyboardist Jon Bevo for the July performance. As for now, no word on who will sit behind the kit on July 10.
Here’s a stream of Scott Bernstein’s audience recording of the last Jon Bevo’s Love Orchestra performance, which took place at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ on January 28, 2012:
