GIVĒON gave some more insight to BELOVED in a recent iHeart Radio interview:
“The story I want to tell with my sophomore album — it’s a couple of things. I want to tell the story of where I’ve been sonically, as an artist and the elevation that I’ve really worked three years’ time to just build on my craft. I want to add to the male perspective of rhythm and blues. There are a lot of point of views from the women of Rhythm & Blues, but I feel like sometimes just seeing love through the male lens can get lost now. So I want to make sure I’m keeping that as raw and authentic as possible. I want people to realize how realistic this album is. This isn’t like a love story album where everything is going, how a fairytale would go. It is more realistic than that.”
