This evening, Gregg Allman was set to lead his band at the Greenfield Amphitheater in Wilmington, North Carolina. Sadly, Gregg will be unable to perform “due to illness.” The show will go on for free with Allman’s band performing without its frontman.
HUKA Entertainment sent a press release stating Gregg is “feeling under the weather and will not be able to perform” as per Port City Daily. “North Carolina, y’all have always been good to me. Thank you for understanding. I’ll make it up to ya,” reads a note from Allman on his Facebook page.
In other Gregg Allman news, the co-founding member of The Allman Brothers Band will play ten nights at City Winery in New York City. Tickets for the intimate club appearances will go on sale to members of the venue’s VinoFile club on August 2 at 3 p.m. ET. A general on-sale will follow on August 11. Gregg will play City Winery NYC November 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17 and 18.
