Gary Clark Jr. Extends Tour & Appears On ‘The Tonight Show’

On September 11 young axeslinger Gary Clark Jr. will release his sophomore, full-length effort The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim via Warner Bros. Records. Last night the Austin-bred guitarist returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to give the TV audience a taste of his new LP.

Fallon introduced Clark Jr. as “one of the best performers out there right now” before Gary and his band lit into “The Healing” off The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim. Watch how it went down:

Gary Clark Jr. recently added a bevy of 2016 tour dates to the extensive tour he already had planned for this fall. Clark Jr. will visit both sides of the U.S. and many cities in between as well as Europe and Canada over the next eight months.
