There’s three shows left for The Last Waltz 40 Tour, which features Warren Haynes, Michael McDonald, John Medeski, Jamey Johnson, Don Was and Terence Higgins and guests performing songs from the legendary 1976 concert. The original Last Waltz was the original lineup of The Band’s final show and one member of The Band will guest at two of the last three Last Waltz 40 Tour performances.

Multi-instrumentalist Garth Hudson has signed on for tonight’s show at the Palace Theatre in Albany as well as Saturday’s concert at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Hudson was the mad genius who most often played organ with The Band and helped define the group’s sound. Performances from Garth have been rare in recent years making his contributions to the tour even more special.
