Singer-songwriter and guitarist Gaby Moreno performed for KCRW’s “Live From HQ” series. The recent Grammy-winner offered songs from her new album, Dusk, for the Los Angeles-area public radio station.

Dusk arrived on February 16, shortly after Moreno took home a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album for her 2023 record, X Mí (Vol. 1). The prolific artist stuck mostly to Dusk for her KCRW live debut, kicking off the session with the rocker “Solid Ground.”

Gaby cooled things down a bit with “New Dawn” followed by “El Saber,” which she originally wrote for the film, Radical, but also included on Dusk. Moreno then took it back to her 2022 album, Alegoría, with “Til Waking Light.”

The singer-songwriter wrapped her “Live From HQ” session with a cover she included on Dusk, “Luna de Xelajú,” which the Guatemalan-born musician noted was written by Paco Pérez and is “considered a second anthem” in Guatemala.
