Fundraising Campaign Started To Help Keyboardist Ray Paczkowski

Earlier this year, Vermont-based musician Ray Paczkowski underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor. While the prognosis for the Trey Anastasio Band/Soule Monde keyboardist is good, he has been unable to work since the March 16th procedure and will require additional medical attention and time to recover. A friend of Ray’s has started a GoFundMe campaign in aims of raising funds to help Paczkowski focus on getting back to full strength.

Additional details shared on GoFundMe indicate Ray’s tumor is a type known as “ependymoma.” Paczkowski will soon begin four weeks of daily radiation therapy in aims of preventing the tumor from recurring. The musician known as “The Milkman” also is a skilled carpenter and he isn’t expected to be able to work in either field for at least “several months” as per the writeup. Paczkowski has already had to cancel a few months of Soule Monde gigs and was unable to participate in the current Trey Anastasio tour, which continued on in trio format.

The goal for the drive is to raise $30,000 for the keyboardist, so that Ray has “financial security during this time” and can “concentrate on getting better without the added burden of financial distress.” Head here to contribute to “Let’s Give A Big Hand To Ray.”
