Full Show Video: Roosevelt Collier & Billy Iuso Play Dead

On Saturday night, Sacred steel specialist Roosevelt Collier and New Orleans-based guitarist Billy Iuso teamed up to lead an ensemble for a performance in Boca Raton, Florida. The show at The Funky Biscuit featured a night of Grateful Dead-inspired music and full show video footage of the performance can be viewed below.

Joining Collier and Russo on stage Saturday were bassist Joe Falconeri, drummer Brian Jones, guitarist Al Zilinsky, keyboardist Nick Landess and vocalist Jill Paone Simmons. The collective was also joined at times by keyboardist Albert Poliak and vocalist Derrick Lee. The evening included performances of such Dead classics as “Sugaree,” “Eyes Of The World,” “Bertha,” “Feel Like A Stranger,” “Franklin’s Tower” and “West L.A, Fadeaway,” along with songs from Jerry Garcia’s solo repertoire and covers the frequented Dead setlists such as “Hard To Handle,” “Turn On Your Lovelight” and the encore pairing of “The Weight” and “Not Fade Away.”
