Full Show Video: Kung Fu ‘Superfly’ Set Night One

Funk-fusion act Kung Fu played the first of two of their Toys For Tots benefit concerts at Toad’s Place in New Haven, Connecticut last night. The special show featured Alan Evans of Soulive on vocals and rhythm guitar and a complete performance of Curtis Mayfield’s 1972 classic LP Superfly.

Ohio jam-rockers The Werks opened up the festivities before Kung Fu took over for their two headlining sets. Kung Fu, along with Evans and DMT featuring members of The Nth Power, Turkuaz and Beau Sasser’s Escape Plan, delivered the Superfly recreation in the first set before the band came back for a second set all of which can be seen in the video below:
