Full Show Video & Audio: Jack Casady Joins Tedeschi Trucks Band In Charlotte

The Wheels Of Soul Tour 2017 came to Charlotte, North Carolina last night as Tedeschi Trucks Band along with Hot Tuna and The Wood Brothers performed at Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre. The tour’s collaborations continued Sunday with TTB welcoming Hot Tuna bassist Jack Casady to sit-in during their headlining set.

Susan Tedeschi led her namesake band through a set opening pairing of “Anyhow” and “Made Up Mind.” Guitarist Derek Trucks showed off his slide skills on the subsequent “All That I Need” which was trailed by “Right On Time” featuring vocalist Mike Mattison.

Veteran Jefferson Airplane bassist Jack Casady returned to the stage to join TTB bass player Tim Lefebvre on a Mattison-led cover of Allen Toussaint’s “Get Out My Life, Woman.” Tedeschi Trucks Band continued the set with “Idle Wind,” covers of Delaney & Bonnie’s “Comin’ Home,” B.B. King’s “How Blue Can You Get,” Miles Davis’ “Ali” and closing take on “Let Me Get By.” TTB’s rowdy arrangement of “Let’s Go Get Stoned” closed out the show as the evening’s lone encore.
