On Saturday night College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut hosted a the second of a pair of concerts by Twiddle. The Vermont-based quartet was without keyboardist Ryan “Norb” Dempsey who had been hospitalized due to an illness but were joined by a number of guests during their two set show, including members of Kung Fu, Cats Under The Stars, Teddy Midnight, The West End Blend and more.

Twiddle opened their first set Saturday with Adrian Tramontano adding percussion and the Kung Fu drummer stuck around for almost the entire duration of the two set show. Also on board for the “White Light” opener was keyboardist Josh Dobbs of Cats Under The Stars who also was on stage for most of the show. Another guest, Teddy Midnight guitarist Wiley Griffin came on for “Brick Of Barley.” Tramontano then took over the drum kit from Brook Jordan who moved down stage to handle vocals on “Second Wind.” The West End Blend horn section then helped out on Twiddle’s “Polluted Beauty” and the set closer “Lost In The Cold.”

The second set started with a trio of Jordan on guitar and vocals and Mihali Savoulidis on drums and bassist Zdenek Gubb performing “Dusk ’til Dawn.” Tramontano and Griffin then emerged for a performance of “Beethoven and Greene.” The second set drew to an end with a sequence featuring “Carte Candlestick” > “Jamflowman” and “Frankenfoote.” For the finale, Kung Fu’s Chris DeAngelis added a second bass to a take on “Latin Tang” that saw DeAngelis and Gubb dueling.
