By Andy Kahn Apr 28, 2017 10:33 am PDT

Umphrey’s McGee continued a run of shows in Florida with a performance at Orlando’s House Of Blues Thursday night. The two-set concert saw the band bust out three cover songs, each of which had not been played by the band since 2014.

The initial bust out came mid-first set when guitarist Brendan Bayliss led the group through their first cover of The Beatles “Dig A Pony” in 314 shows. Mid-second set the band busted out John Scofield’s instrumental “A Go Go,” which was last covered 262 shows ago. The final bust out came during the encore when UM took “Prowler” into “Runnin’ With The Devil,” as drummer Kris Myers sang lead on the Van Halen tune for the first time in 252 shows.

Other highlights from the House Of Blues included an extensive improvisation segment out of the first set “FF” and the second set opening sequence of “Mantis” > “Mullet (Over),” “Deeper” > “The Linear” > “Mantis.” All of last night’s show was taped and shared by NSL, listen here:
