Full Show Audio: Listen To A Holly Bowling Soundboard Recorded On Sunday

By Scott Bernstein Sep 15, 2016 1:19 pm PDT

This past Sunday night pianist Holly Bowling performed a pair of sets at The Grey Eagle in Asheville, North Carolina. Holly’s sets featured her now typical mix of Grateful Dead and Phish classics played atypically. Thankfully we can all hear what went down on Sunday thanks to a crispy soundboard recording.

There are many highlights within such as when Bowling combines the Grateful Dead’s “Cassidy” with “Steep” and “Dirt” by Phish in the first set and a fantastic “It’s Ice” > “Steam” > “Ass Handed” > “It’s Ice” sequence that kicks off the second set. There’s also a wild “Piper” > “Theme From The Bottom” > “Plasma” > “Theme” > “Bird Song” > “That’s It For The Other One” > “Tela” segment that forms the majority of the second set. She ends the show with a “Taste” encore for good measure.

Listen to a soundboard recording of Holly Bowling’s September 11th show at The Grey Eagle taped by Keith Litzenberger and shared by nognuisagoodgnu:

Holly Bowling recently participated in our Twenty Years Later video series. Head here for her cover of Ani DiFranco’s “Dilate” as well as a bonus take on “Cassidy.”
