Full Set Video: Umphrey’s McGee Church Set At Summer Camp 2016

On Saturday afternoon Chicago sextet Umphrey’s McGee treated VIPs at the Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois to a stripped-down, intimate performance at Three Sisters Park’s church. Video of the entire set shot from the front row has surfaced thanks to videographer Shinepigeon.
The band opened with just the third “Professor Wormbog” in the last 13 months and continued with “Mad Love.” Up next was just the 11th-ever rendition of Safety In Numbers ballad “The Weight Around” which was followed by staple “40’s Theme.” Hard-hitting rarity “Sludge & Death” was trotted out for just the fourth time since 2007 and led into a solo performance of Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You” from keyboardist Joel Cummins. “Go To Hell” then closed out the intimate performance.
Yesterday, Umphrey’s McGee released the career-spanning documentary Reel To Real for on-demand viewing via Vimeo. Head here to enter for a chance to win not only one of five copies of Reel To Real but also the opportunity to run lights for Umphrey’s McGee during sound check on Director Jefferson Waful’s console. Waful will build you a page of cues and you get to try your hand at lighting the band.
