This Saturday, guitarists Eric Krasno and Scott Metzger will perform as a duo in the Super VIP Tent at the Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, Virginia. Last night, Krasno and Metzger warmed up for Lockn’ with an acoustic set in front of a capacity crowd at Rockwood Music Hall in New York City.
Scott and Eric opened their Tuesday night performance with “Jezebel” off Krasno’s 2016 album Blood From A Stone. Metzger then took a turn on lead vocals for a cover of Nick Lowe’s “I Knew The Bride.” The pair continued to swap frontman duties as Kraz sang Blood From A Stone’s “Please Ya,” while Scotty led a rendition of Louis Williams & The Ovations’ “I’m Living Good.” Next up was the blues classic “That’s All Right” and the Metzger original “Halfway To Georgia.”

One of the emotional high points of the set came with a gorgeous version of Otis Redding’s “These Arms Of Mine” sung by Eric Krasno. The performance rolled on with “Calling Out To You,” a song Kraz contributed to Tedeschi Trucks Band’s 2013 album Made Up Mind, and a cover of The Wood Brothers’ “When I Was Young.” Last night’s set concluded with two more Krasno originals: “Love Is Strong” and “Unconditional Love.”
