Full Set Audio: Chaka Khan Joins Lettuce At Peach Music Festival
By Scott Bernstein Aug 15, 2017 • 9:31 am PDT
Funk act Lettuce was joined by one of their musical heroes on Friday night at the Peach Music Festival at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Legendary vocalist Chaka Khan was the band’s special guest at this year’s Peach Fest.
Lettuce put forth a lineup that included guitarist Eric Krasno who hasn’t played much with his old band in recent years. Khan and a set of backing vocalists emerged in the middle of the set for a three-song segment. First, Chaka led the ensemble through her 1974 hit with Rufus, “Tell Me Something Good.” Up next was a soulful rendition of “Love The One You’re With” by Stephen Stills. Chaka Khan’s brief but eventful collaboration with Lettuce concluded with “Ain’t Nobody.”
