By Scott Bernstein Sep 26, 2017 • 1:01 pm PDT
The penultimate Brooklyn Comes Alive set at Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday featured the debut of moe.queous. All four members of Aqueous teamed with moe.’s Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico for a performance that included songs from both bands as well as a Grateful Dead cover. Earlier today, an audience recording of the moe.queous set surfaced.
moe.queous was deemed a highlight of Brooklyn Comes Alive in our report on the event. The set began with an inventive segment that combined moe.’s “Head” with Aqueous’s “Origami.” From there, the six-piece played a take on moe.’s “Plane Crash,” which Schnier dedicated to bassist Rob Derhak. The 80-minute set concluded with Aqueous’s “Don’t Do It” and a “32 Things” > “Bertha” > “32 Things” sequence.
