Fugees delayed a reunion tour originally scheduled to start tomorrow (Tuesday, November 2) to early 2022, “to ensure the best chance that all cities on the tour are fully open so we can perform for as many fans as possible” as per a statement from the band. New dates for the run are “coming soon along with some special announcements,” added Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel.
The influential hip-hop group planned the tour in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their 1996 album The Score. Fugees did take the stage for a concert in New York City on September 22. The show marked the trio’s first in 15 years.
Concerts were supposed to take place in Chicago, Oakland, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Newark (New Jersey) and Washington D.C. this month. Fugees were then due to continue the jaunt in Europe and Africa next month.
