Fruition & Greensky Bluegrass Collaborate In New Mexico
By Andy Kahn Sep 21, 2017 • 12:30 pm PDT
Michigan-based Greensky Bluegrass held a concert last night at Taos Mesa Brewing in El Prado, New Mexico. Wednesday’s show featured a set by Oregon-based Fruition, and members of the opening act were brought back out to sit-in with GSBG.
Fruition’s Mimi Naja was the first guest to join Greensky, augmenting with her electric guitar a set one performance of Fruition’s “Santa Fe,” which she had also previously guested on during a March 2016 sit-in. The second set saw GSBG supported by Fruition’s Jay Cobb Anderson, Tyler Thompson and Kellen Asebroek on additional vocals for “Casual Wednesday.” Greensky Bluegrass was also joined by Kevin Gregory on Vibra Slap during the “Frederico” encore.
