Fruit Bats Release Live EP ‘The Wild Honey Pie Pizza Party’ Benefiting Habitat For Humanity
The set features a cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Threw It All Away.”

Fruit Bats released an EP, The Wild Honey Pie Pizza Party, with proceeds benefiting Habitat For Humanity. The live recording of Eric D. Johnson’s solo performance features his cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Threw It All Away.”
The benefit EP was recorded on July 30, 2023 at the Hotel Lilien in Tannersville, New York. The concert was part of The Wild Honey Pie’s live music pizza party event series that included food provided by Paulie Gee’s Pizza.
The six-song tracklist for The Wild Honey Pie Pizza Party consists of “Rushin’ River Valley” from 2023’s A River Running to Your Heart, “The Balcony” and “Gullwing Doors” from 2021’s The Pet Parade, “The Bottom Of It” from 2019’s Gold Past Life and the fan-favorite “Humbug Mountain Song” from 2016’s Absolute Loser.
The EP will be available exclusively through Bandcamp from March 7 – 22. Proceeds from the release will go to Habitat For Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.
