Freekbass & The Bump Assembly Share ‘Gettin’ On’ Video: Exclusive Premiere

Freekbass & The Bump Assembly are back with a new single entitled “Gettin’ On” via Color Red Music. JamBase is pleased to premiere the video for the track.

The acclaimed bassist is joined on the track by his band featuring Turkuaz vocalist Sammi Garett, keyboardist Sky White and drummer Rico Lewis. “Gettin’ On” marks the first songwriting collaboration between Freekbass and Joe Jordan. Freekbass played the instrumental track for Jordan and the pair decided to make the song a timely message of positivity and moving forward.

Freekbass & The Bump Assembly recorded “Gettin’ On” at Color Red Studios with producer Eddie Roberts. The video displays the song’s themes of momentum and change along with the challenges and obstacles some communities face when it comes to their right to vote as the clip focuses on the lyric, “I’m gettin’ on, And nothing’s gettin’ in my way.”
