On April Fool’s Day in 1986 Bruce Hornsby issued his debut album The Way It Is backed by The Range. The Way It Is established Hornsby as a major presence in the music world and garnered Bruce and the band a Grammy for Best New Artist. Bruce Hornsby has shared a holiday treat with fans by releasing a compilation featuring recent live versions of each and every track from The Way It Is in celebration of the LP’s 30th anniversary.

Bruce Hornsby and his current band, The Noisemakers, show off just how much the material has changed in the live setting over the past decades. Most of the tracks were taken from this past summer’s Eaux Claires Music Festival, where Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers performed the LP in its entirety. Hornsby has shared the compilation as a free MP3 download, while lossless versions are also available for purchase.
