Foo Fighters appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Wednesday. The renowned rockers’ performed their song, “Waiting On A War,” from their 2021 album, Medicine At Midnight.
Foo Fighters released “Waiting On A War” in January as the third single off Medicine At Midnight. Frontman Dave Grohl wrote the song after his daughter Harper posed a question that struck a chord.
“Last fall, as I was driving my daughter to school, she turned to me and asked, ‘Daddy, is there going to be a war?’” Grohl related in a statement. “My heart sank as I realized that she was now living under the same dark cloud that I had felt 40 years ago,” Grohl said, referencing the Cold War. “I wrote ‘Waiting on a War’ that day,” he added. “This song was written for my daughter, Harper, who deserves a future, just as every child does.”
