On Sunday night a “supermoon lunar eclipse” took place for the first time in more than three decades. Foo Fighters were performing at Isleta Amphitheatre in Albuquerque as the eclipse took place and provided a soundtrack for the unusual occurrence.
Following a guest appearance from guitarist Gary Clark Jr. on “What Did I Do?”/”God As My Witness” Foos frontman Dave Grohl led the group through acover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Bad Moon Rising.” Grohl noted “it had to be done!” about the fitting cover. Last night’s “Bad Moon Rising” was the first the Foo Fighters performed without John Fogerty, who led them through the song at a handful of concerts in honor of the Sound City documentary in 2013.
