Flying Lotus (Steven Ellison) shared a new single, “Ingo Swann.” FlyLo’s second single of 2024 sees the multi-faceted musician delving into house sounds.
“Ingo Swann” follows Flying Lotus’ August 2024 release “Garmonbozia.” The producer released the guest-filled EP Flying Objects in 2023, featuring The Roots’ Black Thought, Conway the Machine and more.
Ellison has also been busy as a filmmaker. He co-wrote, directed, and scored a segment for the renowned found footage horror anthology V/H/S 99. Ellison worked as director and composer for the sci-fi horror film Ash starring Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Eiza González (3 Body Problem). The composer is also behind the music for Netflix anime series Yasuke and the theme for Apple’s Magic Johnson doc They Call Me Magic.
FlyLo’s latest creation, “Ingo Swann,” taking its title from the famed psychic of the same name, is “an upbeat, shimmering house number…like nothing from Flying Lotus’s typical oeuvre,” as per a press release.

Flying Lotus will be at Red Rocks on October 23 with Marc Rebillet and Reggie Watts followed by a performance at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. Find info on the shows below.
