Flo Milli recently stopped by NPR HQ for a Tiny Desk Concert, released today as part of NPR Music’s Black Music Month series featuring Black women artists. The 24-year-old delivered a career-spanning set for her Tiny Desk session.

Flo Milli’s latest album, 2024’s Fine Ho, Stay, is part of a trilogy which includes her 2020 debut album, Ho, Why Is You Here? and 2022’s You Still Here, Ho?. Flo Milli kicked off her Tiny Desk with two cuts from the latter, “Conceited” and “Bad Time.”

NPR’s Ashley Pointer detailed Flo Milli’s performance:

The Tiny Desk has humbled many artists, but Flo Milli strutted into NPR HQ and behind the Desk with the unwavering confidence of an OG. While her appearance gave soft and feminine, clothed in blush pink with baby’s breath scattered throughout her hair, Milli’s lyrical prowess sliced like a sword. Her bars were bratty and braggadocious alongside Atlanta’s own Band of Brothers and her background singers she dubbed “The Floettes.”

As Pointer also noted, Flo Milli’s Tiny Desk saw her performing with a live band for the first time consiting of keyboardist Slim Wav, bassist/guitarist André Brown, bassist Marlon Allen and drummer Jordan Hemby. The Floettes are Samira “Yah Yah” Gordon and Desiré Gaston.

The set continued with Flo Milli’s breakthrough singles, “In The Party” and “FloBeef.” A track off Ho, Why Is You Still Here, “Weak,” followed before Flo Milli wrapped the session with her 2023 Fine Ho, Stay single, “Never Lose Me,” which contained a new verse.
