Fleet Foxes: SNL Vids

When we first heard that Fleet Foxes were doing Saturday Night Live, we were like, “No shit?” It made sense, but it was still a bit surprising. A year ago no one really knew of these enchanting beardcore folk bards; now they’re rocking SNL, magazine covers and serious Best of 2008 props. If nothing else, it’s a testament to the power of a great record (self-titled, released June 3, 2008 on Sub Pop) and the buzz it can generate with the Internet. If you missed them over the weekend, here they are doing “Mykonos” and “Blue Ridge Mountain.”
