Last month Fleet Foxes issued their long awaited third LP Crack-Up. The group recently made a pair of live appearances in support of the record, performing live for radio stations WFUV and KEXP.
Robin Pecknold returned to his home of Seattle on May 17 for a Fleet Foxes live session at independent broadcaster KEXP. Hosted by Cheryl Waters, Pecknold and the band played four of the 11 songs that make up Crack-Up, offering takes on I Am All That I Need / Arroyo Seco / Thumbprint Scar,” “Third Of May / Ōdaigahara,” “Fool’s Errand” and “Mearcstapa.”
Fleet Foxes also recently gathered on June 13 at Electric Lady Studios in New York City to record a session for WFUV Public Radio. That set saw Pecknold once again leading the ensemble through several Crack-Up tracks, including “Third of May / Ōdaigahara” and a rendition of “Fool’s Errand.”
