Fleet Foxes held the second of two shows at Globen Annexet in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday night. Stockholm-based duo First Aid Kid joined frontman Robin Pecknold on a performance of “Tiger Mountain Peasant Song.” In other Fleet Foxes news, the band announced a series of U.S. tour dates scheduled for March as well as a performance at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on May 21. The run begins in Tampa on March 1 and includes stops in Saint Augustine, Orlando, Miami Beach, North Charleston, Jackson, Memphis, Mobile and New Orleans.
First Aid Kit includes siblings Johanna Söderberg and Klara Söderberg, who in 2008 published a YouTube video of their cover of “Tiger Mountain Peasant Song” just two months after it was issued on the self-titled Fleet Foxes debut LP. The unknown-at-the-time duo’s video became a viral hit and has since been viewed over five million times. First Aid Kit has gone on to issue three well-receieved albums, with their fourth, Ruins, due next year.
