Flashback | Talking Heads Reunite For Rock Hall Induction

It’s been 20 years since Talking Heads last toured and sadly we don’t seem to be any closer to a full-scale reunion as the years go by. The original members of the quartet have only reunited once since their breakup in 1991 and that three-song reunion took place at New York’s Waldorf Astoria on March 18, 2002 -the night the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

On that fateful night in 2002, original Talking Heads members David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Jerry Harrison and Chris Frantz played a three-song set of “Psycho Killer,” “Life During Wartime” and “Burning Down The House.” For “Life During Wartime” and “Burning Down The House” the quartet was augmented by former touring members Bernie Worrell on keyboards and percussionist Steve Scales. Talking Heads’s performance that night only made fans more eager for a reunion that likely will never come.
