Flashback | Neil Young & Crazy Horse At Bonnaroo 2003
By Scott Bernstein Jun 10, 2014 • 9:45 am PDT

Neil and his longtime backing band set off on the Greendale Tour just about a week prior to their Bonnaroo visit. Over the course of the 43-show tour, the legendary rockers started each gig with a complete performance of the Greendale rock opera, with just a few exceptions. Young decided against using the bulk of his Bonnaroo set for Greendale and instead laid down exemplary versions of 12 fan-favorites from his back catalog. Highlights included the 20-minute “Love To Burn” opener, a raucous “Cortez The Killer” and a jam-fueled “Down By The River.”
We suggest clearing out 140 minutes of your day to watch one of the best sets in Bonnaroo history:
Set: Love To Burn / Sedan Delivery / Powderfinger / Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black) / Cortez The Killer / F*!#in’ Up / Like A Hurricane // Be The Rain / Cinnamon Girl / Rockin’ In The Free World / Roll Another Number / Down By The River
