The Flaming Lips were joined by Micah Nelson as the musical guests on Monday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. Wayne Coyne and company delivered a remote performance of “Will You Return / When You Come Down” on last night’s show.

“Will You Return / When You Come Down” was recorded at Oklahoma City’s Blue Note Lounge, the first venue The Flaming Lips ever played. The song is the opening track from the band’s 2020 album, American Head.

Micah Nelson toured with The Flaming Lips and the Claypool Lennon Delirium in 2019. One year earlier, Micah discussed the influence of the band on his music with Reverb. “I cannot understate the life affirming impact the Flaming Lips music and mythology has had and continues to have on my musical journey,” Nelson said.
