Flaming Lips Announce New Years Plans

On October 28 the Flaming Lips will release With a Little Help From My Fwends, their take on The Beatles’ legendary 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, via Warner Brothers Records. The band will celebrate the new album with a pair of performances at The Warfield in San Francisco on December 30 and New Year’s Eve.

Tickets go up for grabs to the general public this Friday, October 3 at 10 a.m. PT via AXS Ticketing. A pre-sale takes place this Thursday, October 2 from 10 a.m. -10 p.m. PT using the password “FWENDS.”

With a Little Help from My Fwends contains guest appearances from the likes of My Morning Jacket, Moby, Miley Cyrus, Dr. Dog, MGMT and Foxygen. We’ll be interested to see if the Flaming Lips enlist any of their “fwends” to guest at either San Francisco performance.
