This year marked the first year the Austin City Limits Music Festival has been expanded to two weekends. However, it turns out the 2013 installment of the ACL fest won’t last two full weekends as today’s final day of the second weekend has been canceled. Event organizers have put the kibosh on today’s performances due to current weather conditions with flash flood warnings.

“Our first priority is always the safety of our fans, staff and artists,” said Shelby Meade, communications director for C3 Presents, the promoter behind Austin City Limits Music Festival in a statement. “We regret having to cancel the show today, but safety always comes first.”

Those holding tickets for today will receive refunds equaling one-third of the three-day pass ticket price automatically by check to the billing address on the original order from Front Gate Tickets within three weeks. Atoms For Peace, Shuggie Otis and Phoenix were among the bands set to play the event today.
